Our Chinese School calligraphy class has been busy this term, and we are delighted to share a selection of the students’ work.

With brush and ink, the children explored traditional Chinese calligraphy alongside freehand ink painting (水墨画). Their pieces cover the rhythm of the seasons — from the solar terms of early summer (“小满”, “立夏”) to festival greetings for the Dragon Boat Festival (“端午安康”) and the New Year (“大吉大利”, “心想事成”, “新年快乐”). Others turned to ink painting, capturing ears of wheat, moonlit rabbits, and ripe persimmons.

From first strokes to finished couplets on red paper, the focus and creativity on show have been wonderful to see. Well done to all our young calligraphers!
